Kids Helping Kids Fix Broken Hearts – The Name Says It All!

In 2008, the Kladar family of Idaho took a trip to Mexico. While there, they visited a poor medical clinic in a rural part of the country. When visiting this place, the Kladar kids -10-year-old Sarah, 8-year-old Emily, 7-year-old Thomas, 3-year-old Will, and baby Ellie – realized that kids just like themselves had life-threatening heart conditions and would die if they didn’t receive new hearts. The Kladar kids were so moved by what they saw that, when they returned home, they knew they had to help.

Once the Kladar kids made their decision, they sprung into action, creating a charitable organization called Kids Helping Kids Fix Broken Hearts. The goal of the organization is to help kids in need of new hearts and their families with the many expenses they face. The kids pursue this goal by selling dishtowels that bear the name of their organization and a special logo designed by Emily herself! Today, Kids Helping Kids Fix Broken Hearts has sold 6,000 dishtowels, raising $70,000 to help give kids like themselves new hope for life!

This video tells the story of the Kladar kids and their amazing efforts to help other kids.
