Cory Booker – Walking the Walk to Give Newark New Hope!
Cory Booker is a politician, currently serving as the mayor of Newark, NJ. However, in his political life, Cory is anything but typical. During a time when people often feel that politicians don’t understand their needs, Cory has shown that his understanding is very real. You see, despite being mayor, Cory chose to live in the same poor conditions that many of his Newark residents live in!
By living side-by-side in a tenement with poor people in Newark, Cory was able to understand much better the struggles these people face. That in turn has enabled him to make great strides toward his ultimate goal, improving the lives of the people of Newark!
