Miracle on Mount Everest – One Man Gives Up His Dream To Save Another's Life
In May 2006, Dan Mazur and his crew believed they were about to make their dream a reality. After a harrowing and dangerous ascent, they were just 1,000 feet from the summit of Mount Everest. That’s when they saw a flash of yellow up ahead. They moved closer, and they saw that the flash was actually a man, sitting in the sub-zero degree terrain!
Dan and his crew asked the man his name, and he answered “Lincoln Hall”. Lincoln was a climber who had ascended the mountain before them, and they had heard news that he had died during his descent. Yet here Lincoln was, talking to them! They saw that Lincoln was near death, and so they immediately gave up their dream of reaching the summit. Instead, they began planning how to get Lincoln back down the mountain so that he could live.
This video shows Lincoln Hall discussing his near-death experience and his amazing rescue by Dan Mazur and his crew.
