One World Futbol – Bringing the Power of Play Where It's Needed Most!
Do you like to play soccer? It’s a great sport and a fun time. But for poor kids in Darfur and countries like it, soccer is much more than just a fun time…..for them, getting outside and kicking a ball around gives them a much-needed break from the hard lives they live. Kids in these countries are fortunate enough to receive donated soccer balls from relief organizations that allow them to play……for a while. The problem, though, is that these soccer balls virtually always deflate quickly when used on the rough terrain of these lands. Tim Jahnigen realized this, and he decided to come up with a solution….
The result of Tim’s efforts? One World Futbol, the world’s first indestructible ball! Tim, with help from friend and musician Sting, had a very special ball invented out of a material that could stand up to anything, even a test run with a lion! Because of this amazing ball, kids all over the world can participate in the power of play and make their lives just a bit better, one kick at a time!
