Petfinder.com – "Making Happy Families" in a Very Special Way!

When Betsy Saul was a girl, she developed a love for animals early on. She spent much of her childhood bringing home stray animals, and by the time she was 12 years old, she was helping out at an animal rescue. As Betsy grew into adulthood, her love for animals grew too. She knew that too many animals wind up in shelters and never get adopted, and she wanted to do something to help….

It was 1996, and the Internet had just recently taken the world by storm. Betsy wanted a way for people to learn about animals in shelters so that the animals would have better chances of being adopted, and she thought that the Internet might be the key. So Betsy founded her website, Petfinder.com, with that exact goal in mind. Today, Petfinder.com has found homes for over 17 million animals! And, as Betsy puts it, Petfinder.com has succeeded in “making happy families” for millions as these animals have spread their love and joy in their new homes!

In this video, Betsy talks about her amazing experience with Petfinder.com.
