Tyler Page – An Ordinary Kid Helping Other Kids Do Extraordinary Things
By inspiredKiD
In 2007, Tyler Page was just a kid watching television with his mom one day. They were watching an Oprah show about child-trafficking in Ghana. The show said that in Ghana, young kids are sold into slavery and made to work long, hard hours in the country’s fishing trade. Tyler was inspired to take action. He thought he would try to raise $240, the amount it would take a group to rescue one Ghanian child for one year. Tyler and his friends and family started raising money with car washes, bake sales, yard sales, etc. In 6 months, they raised not $240, but $19,000! And by a year later, they had raised $50,000!
Tyler decided he wanted to do more. So he and his mom founded Kids Helping Kids, and they began on more projects to help kids all over the world. Today, Kids Helping Kids is a leadership academy that helps kids serve others and be the best they can be! This video is about Tyler and Kids Helping Kids.
