Giving Thanks to the Heroes of Hurricane Sandy

You may have heard about the devastation that Hurricane Sandy brought to millions of people in late October, 2012. Perhaps your family or someone you know was impacted?

As is the case with any tragedy, there are also many stories of hope.  Most often, hope is provided by courageous, giving and caring people who take action to help the people in need.   Watch the video above to learn about some true heroes of Hurricane Sandy.

While firefighters, nurses, police and volunteers from the Red Cross are often the first to respond, anyone can provide help. Perhaps you are one of these people?  Or perhaps you could be one of them?  See below for ideas on how you can help the victims of Hurricane Sandy.

Take Action:

• To help victims of Hurricane Sandy, you can hold a coat or clothing drive to support NYC Cares or collect donations for the American Red Cross
