Ashley Rhodes-Courter – Helping Foster Kids Find Families!
When Ashley Rhodes-Courter was a young girl, she didn’t know what it was like to have a family. Placed in foster care as a toddler, she ended up being shuffled to 14 different foster homes before she was 12 years old. In some cases, Ashley was subjected to physical and mental abuse. But when she was 12, she got lucky – she was adopted by a loving couple, and from that moment on her life turned completely around.
Today, Ashley wants to do her part to help other foster kids. She works to get foster kids adopted so that they do not have to suffer through the kinds of things she did, and so that they can experience the joy of adoption, just as she eventually did.
In this video, Ashley tells her incredible story.
